It seems that the 590 website has been trashing Trav. So lets show Travis how much we love him as a sports guy, the best sports guy in Omaha..

i agree, trav is the best in town. when he started doing the creighton games i realized he does have a lot of versatility, since the sports casting can appear fairly easy. now with the radio show too..he has really stepped to the front of the class of sports 'heads in omaha. back when he was just a sports guy and a contributer on the show i really wasnt too impressed but he has won me over. also he has embraced the role, since the last news chick left the show, of keeping tnt honest and in line. keep it up trav, and put a bullet in my head every time i agree with you, cheering you takin on tnt when they are wrong.

...having said that, i agree with them about 90% of the time. anyway dont listen to the haters...take at look at sports message boards, these people are mental midgets.

I think Trav does a great job on calling Creighton games. He just has that play by play "thing" that the good ones have. I also think he contributes to TNT in some good ways with the conversation and the way they tease him.

However, I have disagreed with him on many things on his 590 show and I think sometimes he takes a view just to raise the hair on the back of our necks. AND HE YELLS WAY TOO MUCH! Just a discussion and more interviews like Solich, Gill and some of the other big names in local sports would be great.

solich and gill?? do you know what year it is? getting a couple MAC coaches doesnt mark a great radio show. trav isnt the best in technique...he yells yes, he cant run a board for anything, and he doesnt handle bad calls that well. you can tell when he has nothing to say. whatever......

i dont judge him on that yet, hes only been doing it for a little while. i think his content is good however. radio is very hard by yourself, and when you rely on phone calls..and get the kind he does, its tough. i think trav will end up being good if he didnt try to be a prototype and just be himself

I thought he did a great job interviewing both Solich and Gill. They are prominate names in the area with a huge following here and he asked some great questions and got them to talk a little.

Gotta remember - we didn't hear much from them when they were here due to their stupid talk to one source contracts.

Go for more interviews Trav - 2-3 an hour. Dana is always great in a low key kind of way. NFL, baseball players and coaches, etc

I like what Trav has to say "most" of the time. He just needs to quit yelling or back off the mic a little.

Travis is awsome. He speaks his mind but yet keeps things in check. Hey lets face it, the truth, is the truth and Trav has the facts to back what he says. Hey, I'm not from Nebraska, growing up, we watched what Dad wanted to watch and believe me it wasn't college sports. It wasn't till I moved here that I even watched a college any sport game, won't say I'm a Husker fan, but I enjoy the game . . . . I like listening to Trav after the game . . . he's usually right on . . . now is it Bombay Gin he likes so much?
