| Luc Robitaille was tired cause he had to drive a teammate back from San Jose. His teammate pulled one out of my book and broke his orbital bone thought that was interesting.

| Riot, the question is...did a knee break your orbital bone, as that's what broke Luc's teammate's. I also liked that they married that clip from Brokebutt Mountain with a "Get 'er done" from Larry...I'm sure he would enjoy that And Craig misspoke during the entertainment news and said Mick Jagger's girlfriend has been "spotting" when he meant to say "spotted"...which is, apparently, a joke that's beyond my age range, but I picked up on the gist of it. | Sorry, my first post is gonna be a rant. I believe Kanye's Rolling Stone cover, though not "heretical", is completely tasteless, and I'd feel the same way if anyone appeared as Jesus on a magazine cover, with the exception of maybe having portrayed Him in a movie. Kanye is no savior, he's all about self-promotion by continuous tastelss shock tactics. It's fine to have your view about the President, but a Hurrican Relief Marathon is not the place to voice them. He should have saved that gem of insight for BET. As for the Religious Right conspiricy to destroy the first admendment, I think the Far Left already has that covered. If you are a hetero white male everything you say can be twisted into "hate speech". Add to that being Christian and you'll never be able to have a rational debate. Name calling always wins over reason and facts. If a white man merely suggests differences about another race/religion/sexual orientaion (even if it is a trait they embrace) he is labeled a racist/bigot/homophobe. Sometimes he doesn't even have to speak, just the simple act of leaving a "diversity workshop" that is a thinly veiled "white man bash", or changing the date of his family vacation so it doesn't coincide with Gay Day at Disneyworld, is enough for him to be called a bigot or homophobe, and he's expected to apologize! But it's OK to discriminate against Christians, whites, and males in the name of tolerance and diversity, because they are the perrenial "oppressors" and have no right to be offended. It's "freedom of speech", not "freedom of speech as long as a minority isn't offended". I believe a Klansman has just as much right to express his view, in the propor venue, as a homosexual does, as long as he isn't physically hurting anyone. Let the Christians say "homosexuality is a sin" and let the gays get married, I don't care, neither one is hurting me by doing so. People need to grow some skin and not take everything so seriously, not everything is an attack on you. We'll get nowhere with real tolerance and diversity as long as people are searching for things to be offended by. The things done today in the name of "tolerance and diversity" only serve to further hateful thoughts and seperatism (sic?). I'll wrap it up there, I could go on for days. | Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | coyote, good points. I think sometimes ourselves and the media tend to pay attention to one extreme or the other (the 3 percenters), and us bell curve folks in the middle seem to think that kooks on those ends of the scale are supposed to be considered the norm. And yes, Disneyworld has a gay day, but I don't believe Disneyland does. We mustn't let our kids watch any of the Disney Channel! Its evil because they like queers! And stay away from Procter and Gamble too! Devil Worshipers. Run for the hills! Elvis begets Alice Cooper begets Marilyn Manson, and I don't see anybody with a pitchfork yet. |

| Kanye West can do whatever the hell he pleases, so long as it doesn't hamper my individual freedoms. I agree with most everything you typed, coyote.

Marilyn Manson might have done the Jesus/Rolling Stone thing (which I would have found tastless as well, but, I admit, I'd have given less thought to), but he wouldn't have used a disaster to express his political views.
