| Radio Ratingz It has come to my attention that there is a radio rating site.. It is a new site and only has one station listed for Omaha.. Todd and Tyler.. | I had already emailed them this morning and finally got a response back from them tonight.. So if your rating was deleted you can re-post it.. Their response to my email: Hi M, I'm very sorry if ratings submitted by your readers were deleted. We had a "spam attack" by someone who figured out how to get around our checks, and we ended up with several thousand bogus ratings. I'm afraid that, in the clean-up process, we must have deleted some valid ratings as well. Again, I'm very sorry for the problems this caused you and your readers. | I have not and will not rate the show. Only because I don't listen to TnT enough. You can thank me for bringing the site to MMM's attention. I thought you guys might be interested in it. I saw that the first rating was a bash so I didn't want to start a new thread here about it, because I have been accused of hating TnT in the past. |

| How much is "enough"??? I think you could rate them on the shows you've heard, and by considering the rest of the morning radio around the Omaha area. Everyone doesn't like something about the show...but if you really don't feel comfortable rating them, that's okay I guess. Thank you for bringing up the site, though.

| T, right before you, someone gave the show a 1 star rating. This was their comment: "Being #1 in the Omaha market is like a seven foot man winning a tallest midget contest. Let's see 'em get syndicated and try a larger market. Oh wait...they've been on for 14 yrs and haven't been syndicated yet? Hmmmm, that should say something. " Now, I don't want to flame an anonymous person...it really isn't possible either. But I think we as a TnTU community can try to interpret the NON-IDIOTIC posts--this comment is not stupid, however... TnT have dominated the market for over 10 years, if I remember correctly. Seven foot men are not allowed in midget contests, as they do not meet the height qualifications to be legally considered one (And this analogy is really dumb, because it's not funny. If this was your best attempt (whoever), just say opinions and avoid analogies/"comedic" ventures)... TnT are now trying a larger market. I don't see your argument here. Big Sports 590 expanded their range to hundreds of counties, yadda yadda, there's no leg to stand on saying they haven't expanded. True, BS 590 is still relatively new and I'm guessing TnT's ratings aren't the highest...but given some time that may change. From what it sounds like, TnT apparently aren't marketed all that well...but it's not like they are marketed well in the Omaha area either (they really don't need to be much here anyway) To recap, you sadly weren't funny; regardless, the analogy didn't make sense to begin with--I refuted it. TnT have expanded into a larger market, you don't have your facts quite right, and I guess I'll have to agree that we will need to wait and see what the results of their simulcast on BS 590 turn out to be. (P.S. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm "flaming" this anonymous reviewer. I hope I came across as harsh, though, on an argument that doesn't have facts and tried to be funny--Luckily for me, this poster did not mention the state of the Omaha market. I have listened to TnT for about 8 years and rarely if ever turn the knob, so I basically only hear what the boys say about the other stations...I cannot say that I have sampled the other shows much and determined a winner, I've just stuck with my instincts which told me that this show was a winner and I would find nothing to rival it here.) Where the hell did this soapbox come from?

| If they can offer some sort of insight, preferably with facts, I can accept any rating that people post. For example, if someone really likes having music in the morning, and is pissed because TnT don't play music like they used to...at least I can kind of understand that argument. Why that person is listening to a radio talk show in the morning, expecting music, that would confuse me a bit (I'm sure it would be easier to listen to CDs or an iPod, because then you get to listen to songs you want to hear) Just saying "they suck" upsets me...one of the functions of the site is for the suits to look at what works or doesn't work. Give an actual reason, please. And I'm completely cool with the lack of a name to those ratings too, unlike Trav would be.

| I am surprised that negative comment is still up there. You can "flag" the negative comments and they are sometimes removed. I have noticed on some of the other shows I did rate (O&A and Ron and Fez) that the negative comments are everywhere. And that Sterns show has mostly positive ratings. Notice that most of the advertisments are for Sirius and not a mention of XM. The ratings mean nothing. It's a hokey poll site and nothing more. |
