I'll tell you what,you do not want any discharge other than honorable.General is the same thing as dishonorable. I have friends that have had one ,and I have my honorable.Like the saying goes,membership has its privileges.

Regarding gays in the military:

My humorous take - if you can take a love-log up the caboose and still smile, you are one tough guy.

My official take - sexual preference has no bearing on your ability to serve your country.

I want to thank all you members who have served. And I could care less if you're all gay. You chose a higher calling to serve your country and I commend you and thank you.

Ob1 . . . I agree with everything you say. Young men and women today live in a more . . . let's say . .. experimental era . . . . Sexual preference is just that . . . . More young people today dabble as lipstick lesbians, or my favorite . .TRYsexual . . . TRY anything once. The military is full of some rather off the wall rules/laws. Like this one . . . Sex in any other position than missionary, is against military rules, must say I've never seen it pursude in military law. ANYONE that wishes to join the military and serve thier country . . I applaud them. I have difficulty with this one . . . your old enough to fight and die for your country, but still have to be 21 to drink . . . not saying that is all bad, but look at it for a sec. 17 (with parents permission to enter the military), 18 to vote and enter the military on your own . . . 21 to drink.

Ok . . .Gotta go, been here to long today. Beer 30.
