I heard the Big Voice Guy say this on a commercial the other day, and then they played "I've Got A New Girl Now" by Honeymoon Suite.

Its obviously a jab at The Br*w who is doing surprisingly well in the ratings, haven't heard much about their "jo jo and monkey boy" morning flakes yet.

This isn't an endorsement for The Br*w! I was just trying to figure out if their trying to be sarcastic with playing Honeymoon Suite, or they don't really pay attention to the commercials.

Another rant.... Is BS 590 going to get some weekend advertisers soon, because I'm tired of hearing about kidney problems, earthshare, "Todd's so buff, he's history buff", and other Ad Council ads.

I have not listened to the Brew morning show but I do most of the rest of the day since a station who will remain nameless has no webcast but they do have a pretty good selection of music. I do find it amusing, right at the top of their web page they list the previous week how many songs they played compared to how many Z92 played usually a big difference, which I found surprising

i hate to it, but generally, i only listen to TNT on z92
isn't there a good jazz station round these parts

80's music is my favorite so I find myself stopping on 961thescrew every now and then.

However, the station on my Preset Button #1 will always be Z92.

the only jazz that gets played here is on 90.7 or 91.5 and they don't play it too often. Sad to say the Z isn't my #1 only b/c i put my presets in ascending numerical order

Z is number one on my preset. the only time i am not listening is when i have my Mp3 player going.

I hear what you are saying about out promos in between songs.

We do pay attention to the big voice guy things. We are not playing those to say we don't play the 80's at all - we are just letting people know that there is more out there and we play the best of the rock songs in the 80s.

I honestly have only listened to the Brew once and they went from Tom Petty to Blondie and that transition was too much for me to handle.

Z92 is #2 on my preset - lol.

Oh also - the reason they play more tunes than us is because of TNT going until 11am (sometimes) and then the 3rd Shift Replay - which I have no complaints about.
