MMM's personal experience - In college I knew a girl for a semester about in the middle of it she was gone and we found out she had a baby in her dorm room. Normally I would say bullshit - but she came back to class and we asked her about it. She had problems with her period being regular - she had gained a little weight but thought that it was just the freshman 15. She had stomach pains but thought that it was nerves from being away from her family.

Now I will also say that in the 9th month of my pregnancy you could tell that I was pregnant. There were times that you could even see a little foot poking out of my stomach when my son would kick. Now I was lucky because I was able to lose the weight right away but I did gain weight while I was pregnant, that is healthy. I wonder if the girl didn't feel the baby move. The story says she was a size 0 at the time the baby was born - that is really, really tiny.. That can't be healthy for the baby.

Actually a woman can have spotting while they are pregnant and she could have considered it her period. Also women in sports and stressful situations can have irregular periods.

I totally agree with MMM...my former roommate's brother came home to find out he was a new daddy. His live-in girlfriend had thought she was having appendicitis, or something similar, went into the apartment’s bathroom, and, well, the rest is history. CRAZY, but true!

MMM, I am familiar with what a woman can and does go through during pregnancy. And I completely understand that a child having a child might be a little naive to the fact that shes carrying around something other than indegestion. And I would think that a "smaller" woman/girl would be far more likely to feel something moving than a larger woman/girl.

But the way this story played out, also yours and teachergirls story, what you are expecting me to accept is not reality. Kids these days are not stupid. Naivete' and ignorance about sex and its consequences just does't exsist at the level it once did. If this was 1956, I'd buy the whole story lock, stock and barrel.

I think these young ladies are living in "I will deny it to the endville" then just play stupid. People will feel sorry for me and maybe I won't get in shitloads of trouble. Social consequences are a powerful motivating factor to deny, even to yourself, that you are pregnant. Especially when you are young and immature.

I'm sorry, I just can't buy the fact that a woman/girl does'nt know she's pregnant. Unless she weighs a quarter ton. Then maybe.

I told my daughter when she started (she had a bad time we were always at the doctor) anyway she was bitching about how she hated it and I said to her "there are going to be times when your glad to see it."..

I'll let the cat out of the bag...I'm going to ba a grandmother in the fall...she didn't tell me right away but when I saw her I knew the minute I looked at her...she is 20 and getting married next month
