| Why do they keep talking about chlamydia? For various reasons, I don't catch TNT every day but the last few days they keep dropping a chlamydia card that leads me to believe they are referring to an article or study related to Omaha or Nebraska. What gives? |

| Re: Why do they keep talking about chlamydia? But what spawned them to say it. They are saying things like chlamydia leader which is where I was getting the... was there a study/survey part from. Like Omaha ranked real high on a national survey on a per capita basis? |

Did a little Public Health work . . . . and reviewed several CDC (Center for Disease Control) newsletters, and did my fair share of STD interviews. The STD rate for Omaha is rather HIGH, according to population ratios. One reason the CDc offered is the number of migrant workers . . . but I look at it this way . . . . kids today "Experiment" at an earlier age than . . . well I did, and several parteners are longings are bragging rites . . . . Put boys and girls into a sand box . . . someone is going to play

| Re: Why do they keep talking about chlamydia? Actually the Planned Parenthood in Omaha had its big fundraiser a couple of weeks ago and I am sure that was in the paper. I am sure they also discussed that Omaha is leading the nation in chlamydia cases per capita along with another STD but I can't recall what it was.. (In case you were wondering how I know this - I have a friend who is on the board at Planned Parenthood). |
