Action 3 News Offers Omaha Additional HD Coverage of the Masters

Omaha, NE. – Action 3 News announces plans for its coverage of the Masters in HD. The station will broadcast the 2006 Masters on Cox Cable Channel 805 on Thursday, April 6 and Friday, April 7 from 3:00-6:00PM CT. Programming will remain as scheduled during those two days on Action 3 News (Cox Cable Channel 5). This includes Dr. Phil, Oprah, Action 3 News Live at 5 and the CBS Evening News, respectively.

“We are excited to give more extensive HD coverage of this premiere CBS sporting event,” said Steve Wexler, Senior Vice-President of Journal Broadcast Group. “The Masters showcases the best of the best and now viewers can get the best coverage available in HD.”

In addition, the station will carry the Masters tournament in HD on Saturday, April 8 (2:30-6:00PM CT) and Sunday, April 9 (1:30-6:00PM CT) live from Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, GA. The third and final rounds of the Masters will be broadcast simultaneously in standard definition by CBS Sports on Action 3 News.
