Is anyone else getting bored listening to TnT? This is not a hateful thread I am just curious if it is just me. I feel sad that I don't find the show entertaining anymore. I have listened to them day in and day out for 9 years now, and feel they are loosing their edge.

I enjoy the interviews they have with stars and have always enjoyed Doc. Ed, but the rest of the shows I find repetitive. Like when they tell us that they watch the CBS evening news EVERYDAY!! I think they are running out of ideas and are having problems filling 5+ hours, which I know I couldn't talk for 5 hours. Is there anything you guys miss hearing on the show? I know they joke about other shows doing it but I really miss Donnie calling in as Cable Guy and all the other characters that he did. I'm sure they are getting all the interviews they can, but that would be nice to hear more stars on there. Who doesn't love Lewis Black!

Do you guys listen to any other shows? I tried to listen to Becka but lost interest pretty quickly. I also enjoyed listening to Ray Lucia before they sold the station. I do try and catch Michael Medved now and then. I spend most of my time listening to podcasts. I know it's a totally different medium but there is something out there for everyone. Hell Dave Rimington has his own show.

I think terrestial radio has just been stuck in a rut with the FCC, conglomerate buyouts, and just general apathy for all employees.

Its hard to really put on a good show that competes with podcasting and satellite when you can't get the support from The Man.

Very true and that's going to be the end of radio. People are starting to make money with podcasting and internet radio. Podcasters are starting to get sponsors and commercials and without the regulations of the government it's going to be a cash cow.... until web 2.0 tanks.

I would have to agree. I’ve been a listener for 16 years or so, and I think once Donnie left and as much as I hate to admit it BH was funny too, when he wasn’t crying. Obscure dead guy of the day was great.

Are all things I miss, but if you heard Jeremy this morning he said the show evolves. Well I guess it is what it is, and Omaha would suck without them, but I would like to see the show move a little toward the old then “move toward mediocrity”.

By the way I listen to Becca, when Matt P talks about things (for 4 days straight that I don’t give a damn about…Bonds, gesture-gate.

I have heard from a pretty reliable source (whatever the hell that means) that the FCC has at least 100 "agents" in cities with more that three affiliate networks (yes, that would be Omaha) that only monitor local television and radio 24-7. Whether that is true or not, that "big brother" is actually listening and waiting to hand-out fines, I don't know. However, I know that the alternative morning shows in Omaha are limited at best. At least TnT are liberal, they talk about sex, and Craig has a sexy voice.

What can I say? They fit my standards!

The 'Man' ..the FCC in Omaha ?...Wow..I'm sure the only reason they would be in town is to check transmitter readings . Those readings must be within 'tolerance' and that applys to any liscensed radio-tv station ..uh-oh ..I sound like an engineer..yikes ! I'll come back when I know more about the history of Alga-Rhythms and Atrocitors .

That's the reason I turned to the internet for my content. There is NOTHING else on the radio. Without competition we all loose the edge. Why try harder when there is no one breathing down your neck. I know shows evolve and change over time and so do we. Just like to hear something new now and then.

Well I like the TnT show.. That is why I am here.. A fan site for fans.. I like to listen to real people. I know how they feel about issues that effect them and me.. Guess what they are real people that care about what happens here. They raise money for charities - that effects people here. When a tragedy like Passionetta's murder happens - they care (Her murder is actually still unsolved - if you have any information please call 444-5627)..

Now I haven't been listening for 16 years but I have listened to satellite radio and pod casting and there is no connection.. Nothing makes one satellite station stick out more than the rest. No of them could give a shit about Passionetta.

Part of what makes them so great is the fact that they are here and they do care. Don't get me wrong of course they would be great on satellite radio, but I am going to be selfish and say keep them here.

M,you know why you haven't listened for 16 years? Because TnT have not been on the air that long. And I agree, I like the local stuff that they put into the show. You can go to your national shows that have "bits". I'll take TnT anyday.

There are times that TnT show might start getting stale, but as the last few post state, they are local and on a day to day basis they do change it up which gives them the edge most other station or even podcasting dont have. They bring on guest, have the round table, celebrity call ins and the regular call in

I've listened to may different radio shows in my day... And I always keep coming back to TNT. I don't know what I'd do without TNT. They make me laugh and they also make me think about things happening in our community.

I see what you are saying and I don't think that is what rdowavz was saying. I think he was advertising for his favorite pod cast.. Which is fine, but like I said we (TnTU) like Todd and Tyler, Craig, Jeremy, and Trav.. the round table, the black round table, and the whole crew..

I've woken up to TnT almost every day for the last six years...and yet I haven't gotten bored yet.

That's about all I've got--I suppose if someone is getting bored, try out other things then. But whatever the hell they're doing is working for me.


Don't get me wrong, there are certain small (stupid) things I'd like to tweak, but...no one else would really care what I'd like to modify and it's no big deal, so I really have nothing to complain about...

I am a huge TnT fan don't get me wrong. I wouldn't have wasted 9 years of my life if I didn't care for their show. I am not a Howard fan at all; never have listened to one of his shows. Sure I stopped on E! now and then when I saw naked chicks dancing and prancing around, but that really doesn't make for good RADIO. (Until they add tv screens to radios) I have never listened to satellite radio either, not willing to "pay" for radio. I only listen to TnT and sometimes Medved in the afternoon but that's all this city has to offer me.

I would love it if Journal would pony up the money and get online. Have you looked at how many terrestrial radio shows offer their past shows as podcasts? Some charge money for "ad free" podcasts and others just post the show word for word free of charge. I am in the IT field and really enjoy listening to technology shows. There are a couple shows that air in this area but I don't like their format. There is a show in LA that I really enjoy but I can't always catch it so I just download his podcast. I can't always catch TnT, and that always seems to be the best shows. I would love to be able to listen whenever I wanted. I know I am not alone, just ask AlienGuy (blast from the past).

I do agree that I can just "Change the station" and I do. I just wish there was another option in this area that could compete with TnT. I'll probably get stoned for saying this but I wish "The Edge" was still around. Back in the day I would flip between TnT and Chris Baker. What now flip over to old guy radio or Bob and Tom, yeah right!!

Trav was back today and sounded refreshed and rejuvenated. That'll probably go back to normal tomorrow! It's unfortunate that his show is on at 9:00 now and he barely has time to do sports. I love when they all get into it and banter back and forth.

I guess I am alone on this thought. That's all I wanted to know. Thank you!

I've listened to Todd and Tyler for about seven years and whenever I get bored of them I just don't listen for a few months, simple as that. Right now I'm not bored of them. It's just like a toy, you get bored of it...put it down, and then want to play with it again down the line. It's a cycle. For me, anyway.
