| Matt Higgins, the lawyer? I've heard him on the show now for a while...now tonight, he is on the news with the main lawyer for the kid that killed Jessica O'Grady. Higgins looks like a friggin' bum! Bad haircut, no tie, wrinkled suit, and in need of a shave. He always acts so cocky on the show, I couldn't believe my eyes. What a clown. I hope T N T see it on the news somehow. Would love to hear Higgins' excuse for looking so stupid. PS That kid killed O'Grady, and Stan Tribble killed his wife. Those slimy, evil lawyers aren't going to be able to save their "Clients". James Martin Davis did the smart thing and dropped that O'Grady killer. |

| Re: Matt Higgins, the lawyer? Damn!!!! Why don't you tell us how you really feel! No matter what Higgins looks like... TnT have seen him a helluva lot more than us lowly pee-ons.... I would think if he was a "rag-bag", Then TnT would treat him as such.... Oh, and another thing..... In this country you are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law...... No matter how damn dirty you look like on the news.... I like how you called all lawyers evil and slimy, yet, praise James Martin Davis for dropping his client...... You do know that James Martin Davis is a lawyer, too?

| Re: Matt Higgins, the lawyer? Asshole- I know all about the constitution. I also know about human nature, that dude killed that girl. Innocent till proven guilty? I learned all about that argument in junior high. Get off your soap box, dimwit. I also know James Martin Davis quite well. Him being a lawyer did come up once in a while in our conversations. Todd and Tyler are a cool radio duo for sure, but don't call us "lowly" compared to them. They are human and don't need you to stick up for them. Higgins is on the show because they like the guy and because he is "witty". He makes for some good radio moments. Especially when he tries to put down Tony and Travis. But, in real life, he represents himself as a dipshit. He tries hard to be a suave lawyer like James Martin on the radio, but on TV, standing BEHIND that other goofball lawyer....he looks like a homeless person. It doesn't take much of an intellegent human being to know when you are being fed bullshit from a mouthpiece/lawyer. You just need to open up for the next bite. Bob |

I see that your a still pretty new to TNTU. While we all appreciate your comments and thoughts. There is no need to call my friends names such as "asshole" and "dimwit". Got it? How about respecting people's freedom of speech. This is a thread you had to expect that there would people who disagree with you or post other comments.

Who do you think you are, my wife? I'd really like to debate you about the constitutionality of your last post. But I can see that you are a closed minded indvidual, and there would be no point in getting into a pissing match. Take care and have a nice day, Bob.

| Re: Matt Higgins, the lawyer? You know Bob, you're probably right, the guy probably did kill her. But thats not our duty to decide. Its a jury of his peers to decide. thender's right, you're innocent until proven guilty, this is the United States the last time I checked. Although the smell of burritos, sanchos and sopapillas continually linger through the air. But anyway.... The accused are entitled to the best defense he/she can afford. And I would love to take this opportunity to elaborate on what I think of Mr Martin Davis and the type of cases he has chosen to take on over the last ten years. But I shall refrain because this is not about him nor I nor you for that matter. Its about innocence lost and the murder of a beautiful young woman. Please don't dishonor her memory by casting aspursions at the choice of attorneys. If I am ever accused of killing someone, guilty or not, I hope I get the defense I am entitled to by law. Bob used to be such a beautiful flower. Last edited by 2ox; 06-03-2006 at 07:35 PM. |

First of let me tell you that Matt Higgins is a very good attorney and honestly I would be proud to have him be my attorney any day. Second -on the news on Friday he wasn't wearing a suit - he was wearing a button down shirt (So maybe it wasn't even him you are taking about). Don't judge someone by the way they look or the work they do. Matt and the other attorney defending the boyfriend are doing a job - someone has to do it. Matt is a very intelligent person and he isn't one to look lightly on men who even hit women, so I am sure Matt has his reasons for taking the case. Do you know for a fact that James Martin Davis dropped the case or was he fired? (I didn't hear the details - just that he was no longer on the case). Another fact may be that all of the evidence isn't out there, maybe they (the attorneys) are just going off of what their client told them, or maybe the evidence from the house isn't that great. I don't know and I don't think you do either. Whether or not I think the boyfriend of Jessica or the husband of Tribble did it won't change the facts in the case and won't make the jury vote one way or another.

BOB, Obviously you don't know Matt in "real life". Matt is a good person and I will stand up to defend him or anyone else that I have gotten to know from the show or on this site. Like I stated earlier I would be honored to have Matt as my attorney because I have seen him in the court room - He is a fair HONEST attorney, he knows the laws and obeys them, he doesn't play dirty like some attorneys. The other issue you have should be separate from Matt and the show, the cases. You seem very angry about the cases, which I completely understand. I am outraged with ALL of the homicides (especially the ones killed by loved ones) we have had in Omaha and the surrounding areas lately. However taking your anger and placing it on the attorneys won't do any good, they are just doing their jobs. Also placing it on the people who post here isn't going to do anything but get you kicked off the site. So consider this your official warning - We are not a hate site and name calling isn't allowed - it happens again and you will be suspended or be banned. Now if you want to do something that will make you feel better then help out some way. Volunteer, call the women's shelters see what they need, I have a feeling you will see the everyone in Omaha is feed up with domestic violence. I know I am! | Re: Matt Higgins, the lawyer? http://www.cvhslaw.com/attorneyshiggins.html This is Mr Higgins website (from an old post) that list his credentials, accomplishments, etc... I have never met him in person such as mmm has but going off his website I would have no problem what he looks like. From what i have gathered he is a man that knows the difference between doing a job and having fun. Instead of judging a person based on appearance, base it what he does and what he has accomplished

| Re: Matt Higgins, the lawyer? Missed Higgins on TV! Did he have an ascot on? Maybe those Bono sunglasses he was sporting at the Anchor? Anyway I like seening Matt branch out from that soulless divorce law to defending murderers that the press / cops have long since convicted before any trial has been held. He's very passionate about this case and although he can't and hasn't elaborated any details even in the closest of circles (for obvious reasons) I like his guys chances. But for the record I think he dresses like a Metrosexual liberal defense attorney.... Prodigy |

| Guest | Re: Matt Higgins, the lawyer? Davis did drop Edwards because he lied to him and Lefler was out of town for this hearing. Covenient? The evidense says he did it and if anyone cannot see that they are definitly blind or stupid. I haveno respect for a lawyer or anyone who knowingly would lie or try to hide a killing and especially put the victims family through this trama. The boy and the lawyers should confess and tell where the body is for the sake of their own souls. |

I don't understand why people can't let this be tried in court. The jury of your peers works pretty well unless you're in California. Btw, didn't you hear, lawyers have no soul. got no rhythm either.
