| Harold Reynolds Fired! He is still one of my favorite TnT interviews. msn.foxsports.com ESPN has fired popular baseball analyst Harold Reynolds, according to a report in the New York Post. The reason for the move is not known. ESPN declined to comment on the matter when contacted by The Post and Reynolds did not return phone calls seeking comment. The 45-year-old Reynolds had been a fixture for 11 years on Baseball Tonight. The nightly program is also without Hall of Fame baseball writer Peter Gammons, who is recovering from a brain aneurysm he suffered late last month. Reynolds was twice an All-Star second baseman, and played 10 of his 12 big-league seasons with the Seattle Mariners.

| Re: Harold Reynolds Fired! I have no proof, just heresay and internet chat on sports boards, but some sources say it is due to sexual harrassment with interns and PA's.....He was warned in the past and Monday one PA went and reported on him....

Over the weekend, Reynolds allegedly took a PA for a meal at Outback Steakhouse. Afterward, he hugged her in a way that may have been deemed inappropriate. Apparently, the PA felt weirded out, and decided to file a complaint. When the complaint was lodged, it became evident to ESPN brass that Reynolds had a massive file full of complaints of this nature. Supposedly, he was terminated sometime Monday morning. While were hearing plenty of swell stories about the former Mariners second baseman, the sexual harassment claims are quite serious, and extremely unfortunate, because as we said earlier, we enjoyed his work on Baseball Tonight. |
