Tyler and Travis were talking about the good things that have happened over the year (marconi nomination, streaming, etc.) and tyler hinted at a very good thing that happened that he wouldn't talk about, and Travis asked him "Is it something that hasn't happened yet?", to which Tyler replied yes. They've already announced that they now have an agent in Seattle a few weeks ago, so that can help leverage things.

I haven't heard any shows but I've read that the cross-overs that jumped to satellite, so they can swear and use other non-FCC words, have tanked ratings and want back on terrestrial radio. I do think "words" have there places in this world, but without the FCC cracking down Throckmorton would just be a little ol' town in Texas. Now if you'll excuse me... my "pie" is ready! | |

I just hope, if it is syndication, the boys get a little advertising money so the word will get out and people will know...I don't think their BS 590 gig is mentioned enough, but I could be wrong. I just haven't noticed many calls coming in from outside the Z signal (TnT said they used to have regular callers from places like Florida and Canada who listened to them online years ago)

I think TnT would do pretty well in syndication. They have a "covers everything" kinda show. They might be a little too local for a natinal audience but that would probably change. Not really a big deal when O&A spend time talking about New York as long as it is funny or what not. Next time Larry the cable guy calls in, someone should ask him about the Ron & Ron show. (Now Ron & Fez. They are on after O&A on XM. Kinda like TnT style talk radio.) From what I understand Ron Bennigton helped him early in his comedy start. Satellite isn't all swearing and f bombs. Plenty of show will go by before someone starts swearing. It's more about being able to touch on subjects that would otherwise be un funny or un entertaining to talk about under FCC laws. I hope TnT get syndicated. It's only been, what....14 years? | |
