Have no fear, local news will still end up on the show some, just after 10am--when the syndication stops.

The simulcast sounds promising, and I think it should be a win/win situation...we shall see

i think it's great. the guys have been working for this for several years that i'm aware of and i'm happy for them. it's the next logical progression for them. they were trying to get syndicated in lincoln a few years back and i even emailed the program director at the station and said i thought it would be a great idea. unfortunately for them and the listeners of that station it never happened. all hail the todd n tyler radio empire.

Ok so the only people that have posted are the people who think it will be a win, win situation and I agree. So those of you that think that we (local listeners) will lose - tell us why?

Where to begin? Let's see it is still like 10 days till it starts and already here are the changes I have heard.
1. No more CML, although it might be someone else's mom.
2. No round table for now, until the people in Springfield learn who everyone is. Although whenever we started listening we just had to jump in with both feet.
3. No more local bashing, instead national bashing...but they did that anyway.
4. ALREADY it is more political.

5. Call in people like the guy with the book the other day...would they have done that before?
I dunno, but it just seems like things are changing already, and not that some of the changes won't be good, but my fear is that it will be watered down Todd N Tyler, and then they might as well be Bob N Tom.
I will run and wash my mouth out with soap now.

I know as far as the guy with the book. The reason they had him on is because he wrote a book bashing Ann Coulter, who they hate.

(My first post in a long time).

I don't really have an opinion either way about the syndication. I think it is probably a good thing, and I just don't see Todd and Tyler selling out to the man...if you heard some of the promos they read this morning, it was absolutely hilarious. I'm one of those rare liberal Husker fans that actually likes the show being more political, it's something we can listen to that isn't the Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck norm. I have nothing against those radio programs...but they litter AM radio. The radio show can actually make me laugh, that is a rarity. I disagree with the two guys a lot but I understand they have their identity and they have to stick with it (plus I'm certain they believe what they say), so I just laugh along. Anyway, about the syndication...cool, I wonder if Todd and Tyler can ever be...huge? Like...Stern? But...you know, funny. I doubt it...but it'd be pretty neat. I've been a fan for about 8 years, even at my young age.

"It's the end of the Show(world) as we know it....". Has already started. Great for TnT but the local references were always fun. Presume they will drop the Wierd Herald rants like they drop the Husker rants. Maybe they'll pick up the fact that there are rabid college football fans everywhere and skewer the Missouri State or Southwest Missouri State fans. Maybe they will include the Kansas fans, too, with their new station. At least the Creighton love cluster will diminish. Husker hate gets old but sure gets listeners.

Well I'm a Husker fan that understands why they bash the Huskers. In any one-team state like Nebraska there are absolute freaks for the team. Todd and Tyler needed an identity. I mean what's the first thing you think of when you think of Todd and Tyler? It's Husker haters. Or at least that's one of the top three things. I personally like their Husker bashing, I can deal with it because Nebraska does currently suck. I agree with them, I'm one of those very pessimistic football fans that will bash my own team when they deserve it (Huskers and Giants). Imagine if Todd and Tyler were actual Husker fans? I don't even know how the show would work, it'd certainly be strange. I think the show will still do fine, it's kind of neat to be part of something from the beginning that is growing I think.

(Also My first post in a long time, but I think this is Important)

I dont see it as a win/win. The main reason I listen is because I know these guys are real, and they know about this area. Most of the reason I dont think it will be a win/win have been posted already, but here are a few more.

1) If CML cant bang Craigs mom, will they no longer pimp this site. It seems they have already stopped talking about except once in a great while. Or will they make Dave change CML to your Moms lover. Sorry but thats just not as funny.
2) The round table, and the random calls from local radio celebrities are funny. Because we know who they are and they can say local things. TNT and say they stopped talking about Local things for 6 weeks now all they want, but to me the show is already slipping.
3) I dont care about the husker talk, because Im not a fan but look at all the great things we have had the pleasure of listening to because of the Huskers.
4) Did you notice that the interaction with the calendar girls this year sucked. They talked all year about what they could make them do, and I fear once they found out about this they did nothing. The bracelet deal last year was great.

I could go on and on, but its not going to fix anything, I hope for my sake that things remain some what the same. I fear the show will turn into a Bob and Tom, with out the stupid songs. No local interaction and just a couple guys broadcasting to some people that dont know anything about them.
