Which topics would you liked to have heard TnT discuss, but couldn't because of syndication?

Here's my list (for starters):

Day after the Election: Julie Haney gets crushed (who beat her anyway?); Lee Terry gets a scare but laughs it off
Tuesday: Omaha forecasters go bonkers over snow in the forecast
Thursday/Friday: Woman found in concrete in barrel; ex-husband kills himself

michigan j frog was a good bit, but this could be used on national level as well, would just have to change the case

I miss the Round table, some of the local references and local sports talk. Too much news spread out thru the show. Wouldn't be bad if I didn't read the fishwrap before the show.

They need to find local references for all 3 areas. Midwest references. Gotta be more things to talk about than news and entertainment.

Ok .. Yes we all have a little thing or two that we miss, but lets look at the whole picture.. Would you rather have some of the little things or the bigger guests?? The show has to evolve or just like everything else it dies..

Just for the record, I'm not bitching about syndication, I miss it just like I miss other things that are no longer on the show. No big whup, I'll get over it

^^^ yes I agreee with you Dave.....I miss the intelligent smart ass discussions on local topics such as the election....etc...I think to myself.... Todd and Tyler are going to have fun with this...can't wait this should be good.......

So what was the deal with syndication and them leaving? Is it true that if they didn't get syndicated they were going to leave town?

It seems they were willing to leave if that was what needed to be done so they could talk to a larger audience...a station in or near Seattle was willing to take them

Whether or not their one-day trip and interview in Seattle earlier this year was just to send a message to JBG, and whether or not they actually would have left, I guess we won't know for sure...

The good news is that they didn't leave and they are now an empire

The only thing I miss since they went syndicated is the round table.

I had to squeeze this onto this thread because the other one on "things no longer on the show now that The Empire has taken over" was shut down.

(My thoughts: If ONE person is not conforming to the guidelines of the board on a thread, shut them down. Don't close the entire thread. An adminstrator on a forum of this magnitude should know better.)

Anyway, I thought I'd share this note of interest from The Reader's "Year in Review" issue:

Biggest Gamble: Todd and Tyler's "Radio Empire" debuted to mixed reviews in November, simulcasting the four-hour show to Springfield, Mo., and Wichita, Kan. The new audiences only served to water down what is still Omaha's No. 1 morning show 10 years running.

The originator of the thread had many a thread to discuss his opinions in, but he chose to start yet another thread to show his displeasure for the Todd and Tyler show syndication.

In the future, I'll merge the threads and ban the often warned repeater. Thanks for the input.
