| Podcast Problems Yesterday (11/28/06), I went to download the day's podcasts from the website. But all the downloads were from Monday the 27th. I e-mailed this to Jeremy, and mentioned that he probably got many other complaints as well, but thought I'd mention it anyway. Jeremy replied that he'd check into it and that I was the only person who complained, which seemed odd. Today (11/28/06), I went to the website again to download today's shows AND THEY WERE STILL MONDAYS SHOWS ON THE WEBSITE! Does anyone know if the website is having problems? And surely I'm not the only one downloading the show. This really sucks. Toad |

Just because the site, for whatever reason, doesn't indicate that it has been updated doesn't mean it indeed has not...if that makes sense. I would always suggest manipulating the web address (which is pretty simple, as I think you can see above) to see if the link is valid. No guarantees it won't be Tuesday from a week ago, though, because they just archive each week using this naming system. Of course, that's just a future hypothetical...the links I provided will take you to yesterday's (11/28) show. Hope this helps

| Re: Podcast Problems Thanks Donnie, It seems TnT podcast arent clearing and posting the right date, but as Donnie found out yesterday they are there but you have to find them by typing in the web address for each segment

| Re: Podcast Problems Donnie, So every week, all I'd have to do is just change the day initial (m,t,w,th,f) on the same URL? This works every week? And while we're on this subject, I got another question for ya. Before TnT did Podcasting, I had iTunes installed on my computer, which uses Quicktime. When TnT started podcasting, I couldn't get the download to work cause the show would only open in a Quicktime viewer on the website. When I uninstalled Quicktime, I could download the podcasts perfectly. BUT this means I can't use iTunes anymore. Is there a way I can have both? Cause I downloaded another radio show when I had iTunes and never had any problem with that one. I think cause that other radio show downloads directly to MP3's and TnT have to download onto some type of viewer software like Quicktime or Windows Media Player (which is what it downloads on mine as). Any ideas? Thanks, Toad |

| Re: Podcast Problems I'm getting really tired of the dead links when trying to download the show. It used to be segments #10 & #11 that were dead. But on the 12/4 show , it's segments #3 & #4 that are dead. When will this madness stop?! Toad |

| Re: Podcast Problems ^I don't know if will ever work perfectly...the vast majority of the time, though, their system of uploading it for viewing works just fine. I guess this must be a case when beggars can't be choosers--without their daily attempt of providing me with archived show segments, I would miss most of the show. When it doesn't work properly, let Jeremy or Tarbox know...I imagine that's all we can do

Our TnT podcasting tech guru, Tarbox, has said that the show will not currently work properly with iTunes--one cannot subscribe at this time. Supposedly this is being worked on and we should know when it works (as a side note, if someone is familiar with .rss feeds and the situation, please help the TnTRE get this figured out and put on iTunes). Do you want to download the mp3 files? Or have the files play in a specific player? Let me know

I don't use iTunes that much and if I have to, I can just reinstall it and then uninstall it again. I'm wondering why Journal Broadcasting is so far behind in the times. Whenever they do something modern, there's always a snag to it. And no one complains more about that that TnT themselves. Thanks again. Toad |

| Re: Podcast Problems When you install iTunes/quicktime it selects itself to play mp3's. You can change what programs play your mp3's when you click on links. I also use FireFox and there is a setting under "content" that allows you to change what action to take when you click on an mp3 link. Mine used to open and play in quicktime and I changed it to ask me what to do now. You do not need iTunes to play or subscribe to podcasts I use a program called Juice.... Juice, the cross-platform podcast receiver. Just add the rss feed to the program and it will download the shows everyday. iTunes  |

| Re: Podcast Problems Okay. I just fixed the problem. I always forget that I can just left-click on an MP3 URL and just select "save target as...". So, I re-installed iTunes and then went to the TnT page and left-clicked and it worked. One day I'll remember. Toad |
