True, but I'm referring to the basic standard that most model calendars of this type usually follow.

Believe it or not, I'm actually a card-carrying feminist. And yes, my use of the term "dog" was unfair. And I do apologize. In fact, I actually prefer the "lesser attractive" women (for lack of a better term). But I was trying to make an overly aggressive point as to the way TnT always hype up these calendars (at least the way that used to), singing their variation of "Calendar Girl", when that's not always so. And yes, by my standards.

TnT also get dozens and dozens of photo submissions from beautiful women all over the listening area to choose from.

I don't think I've "jerked off" to a magazine since I was a teenager in the 70's. But if I would, I'd probably do it to one of the attractive calendar women. And I don't think I'd bitch about it afterwards.

Jerry Garcia once sang "once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right". I've often had the ability to look past things that most people don't see. Like when the Food 4 Less store in town said "Open 24 Hours" in big letters on the building, but the sign in the parking lot said "No parking after business hours", I had to point it out. No one noticed it but me. And it was one hell of a contradiction.

Comedian Ghallager once said that if you see ignorance and stupidity, you need to attack it with ignorance and stupidity. I've always done that.

There's a local AM station here in Lincoln (KFOR) that's put out an annual calendar as long as I can remember. It's of the same size and style as the TnT calendar, and they've always had nail holes in every single one of them for the last 30+ years. How is it that a mere AM station with no-where-near the ratings TnT get, can afford nail holes when the pricey TnT show on Omaha FM can't?

I did e-mail them about the nail holes a couple years ago. They just said to pin it up with a push pin. But that gets more difficult to align holes as the months pile up.

I posted them in posting #9 on this thread. The very same posting where you read about my nail holes rant. Not sure how you could have missed them. You addressed the nail hole and the "dog" issues. Here are the other two you somehow missed:

* The picture of the month is not as good as the smaller picture shown in one of the little calendar squares.

* The letter font, size, and color of each calendar girl's name is the same letter font, size, and color of the sponsor. Couldn't they be different since it's identifying two entirely different subjects? The letter font color is white. Sometimes the background of the picture is white, so you can't make out the girl's name or the sponsor.

Regarding the intriguing discussion here, I can understand the issue from both sides. My concise observation: It is what it is. The limited audience and cost of the calendars weighed, I suppose it is what some would consider as a fairly-priced product. Clearly, more expensive products would be better quality (graphically or otherwise) and most would consider this as also understandable. It comes down to the personal opinion of what the value of TnT's product should be; MMM and SR appear to disagree on what to expect from $6. As I am sure TnT would suggest to all who have read this discussion: buy a calendar and judge for yourself. If you enjoy it, continue purchasing them--if not, either stop buying them or make suggestions for improvement to those in charge (and hope they listen)

Although I sensed tension at various points in this thread, I must say it was one of the most interesting I've read in some time. Kudos to all involved

I could care less about the debate, basically it all boils down to tits and ass. Not the nail holes or the quality of the font.

I'll pick up my copy tomorrow and maybe post a comment on it as well. Perhaps my previous posts should have been stated as suggestions on improving future calendars, as opposed to condemning the previous ones.

Well. I was a NOW member, but couldn't afford the annual dues cause I was a member of so many other liberal causes, so I'm just an armchair activist anymore. I still have my card in my wallet though.

Again, my comments were directed at TnT's promoting all the girls that particular year as "freaking hot", when I didn't feel they all necessarily were. However, the specific model in question did have a nice BODY. I'll have to dig through my closet and find that calendar. I save 'em all.

A previous poster didn't think she was attractive, but I'm sure she is. Personally, my standards for women in society is much more liberal and accepting then my calendar standards. Cause calendars and magazines aren't "real" anyway's. They are full of air brushing and photo enhancing to achieve perfection.

I got my 2007 TnT calendar today and it is AWESOME. I have ZERO complaints about this calendar. All the women are completely hot. They fixed the letter font/color problem. They also solved the problem of the smaller pics being better than the main pic, because they have the main pic, plus 3 additional smaller ones. But they aren't the tiny 1-by-1 inch pics like in the previous calendars.

One weird thing though. All the pics of the February girl Alicia are in black and white for some reason. I don't mind black and white pics, but I'm wondering why they singled out her out.

I also liked how the sponsors now have an actual icon to represent their company. As opposed to previous years that just had the same letter font/color as the girl's name.

It's weird that their greatest calendar of all is getting the least amount of pub as previous years though.

Oh. I did have one slight complaint. Since there are more pics of the girls, each month's day calendar is smaller. Which means that specific days aren't marked off for special days like they've done in previous calendars.

For instance, staff birthdays aren't marked off. Milestone days, holidays, etc. But small price to pay in favor of more girl pics.

Maybe because the background was black and the floor was white.. There really was no color in her photos..

As far as the dates go. I don't think many men will complain that the calendar is too small..
