Since TnT don't really promote the new calendar much on the show, I'm guessing there won't be one next year.

The French Toast Stix aren't on because they might be on vacation as well. They may want to celebrate the holidays with their families as well.

Most of us like the show as it is. I agree with Mike - It is Christmas - The French Toast sticks need a break also!! I also agree with JPA ..get over it..

There is a New "Big Voice" Guy. Deal with it..

Matt isn't gone just taking a break, which gives him time to reflect and comeback fresh.

The same thing with Prodigy - No one has said they are gone forever!!

Now instead of Craig's Mom it is YOUR mom.. sorry..

Again The French toast sticks do get a break also, they do have families.

The Calendar - Why promote it if it is selling well by itself? Actually I did hear advertisements for it on the station. Don't make assumptions on things that are over a year away - I honestly don't think the guys have even talked about it yet..

Move on.. There are more important things in life to worry about.. some people have lost their jobs, some have no homes, and some people have to deal with Mike on a daily basis.

Let's see. The French Toast Sticks have hosted the last few X-mas breaks, but not this one. HMMMMM. Rather coincidental that they'd take this one off now that they have the Empire established?

I can't. He SUCKS! I cringe whenever I hear his bland, generic, unenthusiastic voice!

A 3 month break?! He's never been on an Empire Round Table *AT ALL*. And I ain't buying this "getting used to the voices" crap. I think the new Empire listeners are "used to" all the voices by now.

Well. I don't mind that Prodigy hasn't been on. But he is is another missing element.

I understand the reasoning behind this. I'm merely listing all the elements that have gone missing.

Well. Ya know. Most places tend to advertise a product they want to sell. Especially if they are on a *radio station* where they have the means. Word-of-mouth isn't always reliable.

But TnT never mention it themselves anymore. Pre-Empire, they used to be all over promoting them. They'd even come to the Lincoln Homers to do so. Not this year.

Only last month, this web site's discussions mentioned that this might be the last year for the calendars. Which seems odd since you'd think now that they have the Empire that they'd need a line of merchandise to help promote it. TnT had a line of merchandise a couple years ago, with shot glasses and T-shirts. Those seemed to oddly disappear. I'm glad I bought them when I did!

They probably wouldn't talk about discontinuing the calendar. It'd be easier to just let it fade away.

Isn't that why this message board exists? To discuss things like that?

I really don't want to sound like I'm whining. I do embrace change. But change for the better. And explain the changes. These things just seem to happen from out of nowhere.

All I am going to touch on here is the calendars. Think about it. They do not sell the calendars down in Springfield and Witchita, so why promote it? If they were able to get one, I'm sure they would pimp the hell out of it.

TnT could promote it from 10:AM to 10:30 for the Nebraska listeners, but they don't.

Yeah. I'd have a huge national audience listening to my rants about a semi-local radio show.

Everyone on this group seems to defend TnT, no matter what they do (i.e. Husker fan?). I like to put in a little balance to show that not everything or everyone is perfect. Kinda like how TnT have Trav on the show, to have the ignorant conservative perspective. I love the TnT show. But if you take too many things away from it, it's not the same. Kinda like Todd, who liked the Doobie Brothers until Michael McDonald joined it. Granted, the meat and potatoes of the show is still there. But they keep removing the sides and desserts.

Since the calendar came out in December, every month after that is one less month the calendar will be useful. So, yeah, uhm. I'd think promoting the calendar might kinda be a priority.

IT is a radio show and this site is to talk about what is going on with the show not to reminsce about what has happened in the past. Everything will change at some point and time so get use to it and get over it

And AGAIN, because they CAN promote it from 10:AM to 10:30. And it wouldn't exactly take long. Just say "we'll be at the Anchor tonight at 7:PM with the calendar girls". It takes 5 seconds to say and it can be said at 10 and just before they sign off.

So, to you, it doesn't make any sense to promote a product? All the time they took to get photos, look them over, painstakingly pick 12 winners, redesign the calendar with a new look. . .and NOT PROMOTE IT?
