J Medicine Hat - "Yeah, amphetamine is made in a lab, and methamphetamine is made in a bath tub. Amphentamine is prescribed by Dr. John, and methamphetmaine you get from Bill up the street". They replayed the "Indian Christmas Story/Poem" that Medicine Hat read over the phone. I'm going to try to get a copy of that from the pod cast. J. Medicine Hat

| Straight Pimpin ![]() | Re: 01-12-07 From today's segment 8 podcast. The First Indian Christmas - by J. Medicine Hat Long ago in a far away place, that whitey had already taken, a child was born. In this land, the indigenous people were persecuted and chastised. A dark skinned man child with long black braided hair was born. His father was Joseph, in the manger, and his mother was Mary, who has never been mounted. They both worked at the casino. They hoped their son someday would also work at the casino, and carry on the warrior tradition. On the night the baby warrior Jesus was born, a strange thing happened. All the war ponies laid down, and all the dogs who had not been eaten, stopped barking. It was a good day to die. Later that night, 3 wise men came from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and told Joseph, from the manger, and Mary, who has never been mounted, to return to the reservation, or be considered "hostile". Joseph in the manger was very angry, so he put on his war paint and proceeded to seriously count coup on the Bureau of Indian Affairs wise men. He drove them off, and they said as they left "they would never never play penny slots again". Joseph in the manger then picked up the baby warrior Jesus, who was asleep in a small satellite dish, and carried him outside. He then lifted him over his head as an offering to the great father.

Throcks: 111 | Re: 01-12-07 Counting coup was a battle practice of Native Americans of the Great Plains. A nonviolent demonstration of bravery, it consisted of touching an enemy warrior, with the hand or with a coup stick, incurring a risk of injury or death should the warrior respond violently, then running away unharmed. The phrase "counting coup" can also refer to the recounting of stories about battle exploits

Throcks: 100 | Re: 01-12-07 ^Native Americans were not exactly brutal savages...the mark of a true warrior was one that could humiliate the other(s) in battle because that was more impressive than actually killing During an interesting news story, Craig talked about a study about Americans and owning guns. TnT talked about the Second Amendment...Todd jokingly said he was a responsible gun owner, having three guns (shotgun, 30 _(don't know what they're saying)_ 6, and a .22) but not really knowing where they are. Tyler one-upped Todd and mentioned he had a specially made 40 _(showing my lack of gun knowledge)_ 7. Tony jokingly said he had a gun for respect, being a black man...he also said he points it sideways. Luckily for TnT, "Charlton Heston" of the NRA was listening. He chimed in on the gun discussion; here was the conversation: ----- Todd-"Hey." Charlton-"Good morning. Todd and Tyler, it's the NRA." Todd-"It's Charl..." Tyler-"...Charlton Heston." Todd-"Yeah" Charlton-"Absolutely. Tyler, you don't have a gun?" Tyler-"I have a 40 _(oht?)__ 7." Charlton-"You have a 40...that's a damn good gun. Todd, you've got a gun?" Todd-"I have several, actually." Charlton-"You have several guns, you're a damn good man. Tony, Tony, you have a gun?" Tony-"For respect." Charlton-"Have you killed anyone with it recently?" Tony-"Yes I have." Charlton-"You damn dirty monkey..." ----- (I was in tears after this call...that was awesome. The call occured about 16 minutes into Segment 4 of Friday's show)

Throcks: 262 | Re: 01-12-07 "ought" As in 30 ought 6 or 30-06 which is the model 1903, .30 caliber, bolt action rifle that America adopted in 1906. The primary infantry soldier's firearm in WWI. There is no such weapon as a 40-07 or 40 ought 7...
