| Talkers Magazine "Heavy Hundred".. Last year I posted a link to this thing. I was surprised to not see Todd and Tyler on there. And now the new list is out........and still no Todd and Tyler? TALKERS magazine - Heavy Hundred 2007 I may not be a die hard fan of t'n't, but the show is growing so much lately. Maybe this list was put together before the whole empire thing. I can't believe Mancow is in the top 100, didn't t n t get alot of his smaller markets?? Oh well. At least Opie & Anthony made it into the top 10. (ahead of Stern, might I add...) |

| Re: Talkers Magazine "Heavy Hundred".. Lost, Thanks for the info.. Just wanted to make sure before we assume TnT didn't make the list because they weren't good enough, that we looked at the qualifications for the radio stations and the selection process. Hosts must have a minimum of one terrestrial or satellite radio station or Internet domain (yes they have an Internet site - but their site does need some work). Talkers Magazine even states "that it is as much art as science and that the results are arguable." They judge them on courage, effort, impact, longevity, potential, ratings, recognition, revenue, service, talent, and uniqueness. They had over 5000 radio stations that they judged - That means they had to listen to 14 shows everyday for 365 days in order to listen to each station, plus their list for the year probably was before the empire started. I guess I am just saying that I am very skeptical of something that has so much objectivity in judging - plus anything with Rush and Dr. Laura in the top five -YUCK!! I know this is a trade industry publication and I am just MMM but like I said Dr. Laura and Rush just are not important to me.. |

| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | Re: Talkers Magazine "Heavy Hundred".. I saw the first four and and decided to ignore the rest. That list isn't the "most important radio talkshow hosts in America", it seems to be just a list of the biggest. I didn't event see the guy that does the Scooby Doo voice, or "Jo Jo and Monkey Boy" either. And I have to say WTF!? to that site because doesn't it resemble a certain other, yet older, "web site dedicated to a talk show"?

| Re: Talkers Magazine "Heavy Hundred".. Looks like the "empire" needs some maturing. Some of these "talkers" average half a million listeners a day. IMO the only ones on the list worth a dam are the "monsters" from Orlando, FL at #73. They're like an out of control roundtable with no political correctness or agendas whatsoever. Before the FCC stepped in, they were probably the best show I've heard on the radio. |
