I had an epiphany today after the one gal called in about no women on the show. The nurse was great and seemed to catch the TnT party with their pants down a bit. Honestly, she did an awesome job before she was "removed" from the call in. On some level, by the sound of things, Tyler felt threatened by her and just "dumped" her call.

I've been listening since they have started and the show has done quite well, but it is lacking something, a womans opinion. If they want to boost ratings even more I can see it getting better if they just added a womans opinion. As it stands, its pretty much one sided. Craig is hammered for being "gay". They have the "guy who bangs your mom" but he as also not so much as banging your mom shortly after syndication as banging Austin and Tony's mom. When is he gonna bang Todd or Tyler's mom? Is that where we draw the line even though Tyler's mom has past on? How bout banging Trav's mom. Now thats a story in itself. Or how bout banging his wife. He is so "devout" that his world needs to be rocked more than by his z-coil shoes.

Anyways, back to the femine influence. I think the show would prosper more with a female influence, and that influence in my opinion, would be Megan. Not only would Trav have to face her every morning but also the guys would have to put up with her thru the rest of the show. A female's input. The show needs a shit disturber so to speak and from what I can tell. Megan was banned for a while, then let back in, she can make the boat move in ways it hasnt before.

Its just a thought all. I just want to make the show better. They spend more time on the same drivel and the only time it gets lively is when a woman puts in her 50 bucks. By then they want to cut her short.

This is not true. Obviously you haven't listened since they started. They have had female news chicks, and it has never gone well. Hell, one threw a stapler at Tyler because of the jokes. The woman's opinion comes from Jess and the callers. Tyler has said time again that they cannot work with females.Example....... Courtney, ex news chick...

If it's not broke, don't fix it!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Mike as well as both as everyone in the studio agreed, Its like a guys club but they welcome input from everyone. Even the nurse called back after thinking for a bit and agreed on there views and both TnT and the female nurse both agreed that looks bring in ratings when it comes to T.V

2 pumps and a quiver - I don't know what you do for a living but I would be willing to bet you aren't a radio executive or a radio host. So what makes you an expert on radio shows and ratings? I think the guys are number one because they know what they are doing. With all the changes they made in the last year - everyone criticized something but they are still at number one and growing their market, so YES that means they know what they are doing.

If they want a female view they have Jessica come in or women like Megan call in. They also have Colleen from the Funny Bone in from time to time and woman comedians.

As far as the banging the mom guy (which has nothing to do with a woman on the show) I think the fact that you even mentioned Tyler's mom - Crosses the line. That is a rule that every guy knows (hell I even know that)... you respect that and I am a little shocked that you don't know where that line is. After Syndication the whole point of banging "your mom" came into play as moms across the syndication area could now listen.

Maybe I am being a little rough on you, but hell you wanted a woman's opinion and guess what we can be demanding, bitchy, or nice depending on what is going on in life or just because it is 4am and we can't sleep. So try not to take the show so seriously - it is a show, try not to psycho-analyze Tyler (I would be willing to bet you are not a therapist either), relax, enjoy the show and be grateful you don't have someone standing over you at work who knows nothing about what you do telling you what you should do differently..

Just my thoughts at 4 AM..

I really can't add to what everyone else has already said but I know that I personally have contributed a "woman's opinion" after calling in to the show several times and even appearing (can you "appear" on radio?) on the show. TnT have a certain demographic they appeal to and just because the majority of that is male, it doesn't mean that women don't enjoy it. I think more like a guy anyway. But I've called in on all kinds of stuff and so have a lot of women - cheating, having sex with much younger people, sports, etc.

Like the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I've been listening to the guys for a very long time and the show is great just the way it is. As far as getting a "feminine influence" on the show I for one don't want it and neither do most people.

I don't remember the show in which Tyler hung up on the nurse, but she was probably being a pain in the ass, as are most people who don't listen to the show on a regular basis and call to bitch about one thing or another. They became #1 and got syndicated for having such a great show for so many years without having too many chicks working in the studio with them. Personally, I have nothing against a woman on the radio, but putting a chick in the studio with Todd, Tyler, Craig and everyone else would take something away from the show.

those that "get" the show
and those that "hate" the show
.... i tried an experiment once, you all should try it too
ask everyone you know if they have a sense of humor
my results, not one said they didn't
everyone thinks they have a good sense of humor
but they are wrong
the sad fact is that women are not viewed as funny
not by men, and certainly not by their fellow women
the women you DO hear on the show (aside from celebrity interviews)
are extraordinary in their humor and go way beyond the average woman
on the street in their willingness to open up, cherish these women (the comedians) because they are few and far between

Here is my opinion. Beings that I do call the show and dish out crap, don't think a woman on the show would work. Believe me I can hang and shot the shit with guys but I am always left out of the club because I am lacking a member. There is something guys just can't say infront of women....or at least to their face. Plus, a woman on the show would end up being a "bitch" and guys would call in and bash her all the time. One thing I have learned in life is that my mouth can get me in a lot of trouble. First, I talk like a sailor and second I have had to learn when to shut up. Men do not like to be shown up by a woman. Especially when it is their radio show. Why do you think I only pick on Trav? Plus, I couldn't talk to Trav the way I do if I had to do it face to face. So, I will continue to call in if that is ok. Have a good one! Luv you all!
