| Re: TnT Show 08-15-07 Some bits from Larry's calls today... We found out that Larry is going to be inducted into the Omaha Press Club soon. He said its the first time he's ever had to pay (40 grand) for an award ceremony. Larry is naming his daughter Reagan, after the former president Ronald Reagan. Todd said he hoped she grows up to be a liberal hippie, and Larry replied "Then I'll have to cut her up and bury her". Larry got a little testy when the guys started bullying him about his choice of policitcs, claiming that the current Republicans are "a bunch of pussies", and "Reagan wasn't like them". Larry mentioned that he's trying to get Will Farrell to go with him to the USC/Nebraska game in his suite in Memorial Stadium, and Todd asked him how many games the huskers were gonna win this year. "WE'RE GONNA WIN ALL THE GAMES WE PLAY! We're the huskers!" was Larry's response. Then Larry had a rant about the liberals in central Nebraska complaining that he had loaned his "Git R Done" trademark to the University of Nebraska to sell on t-shirts. Todd and Tyler tried to convince him to ignore the haters in the world, but it seems they still upset Larry a bit. All in all, Larry comiserated with the guys by commenting that at least he doesn't have Travis' reputation on the internet, so it isn't so bad. "On the internet, that boy is like Bing Crosby's kid". There was also a story about the toys being recalled that contain lead paint, such as "Sarge" from the movie "Cars". Larry said that he was happy that the "Mater" figure from the movie wasn't listed as a toxic toy, and he "actually encourages kids to suck on Mater", "it gives them special powers". --------------- Craig Peters is in the studio, but I can barely hear him, he's got a soft voice or something. He had a story about going on Bob and Tom, and joked with a fellow comic that he'd "like to say hi to Todd and Tyler" on the B&T show. The next day, the comic mentioned this discussion to somebody from the Bob and Tom show, and after that he was soon told that he wouldn't be needed. |
