He was brought in to drop the hammer in the promotions department. And by god he did. However you can only work with what you are given. However with the "EMPIRIZATION" of TNT, the cash cow that was the local TNT promotional machine was almost choked out. (this is only my observation, and is not to be taken as gospel or the truth) James is the only guy I know that could be a bigger dick than I could ever hope to be, and yet still manage to be loveable. I know James and he will land on his feet and died doing what he loved and will be a first ballot hall of famer and remember everytime James gets fired an angel loses a wing and a puppy dies. So I hope The Money hungry bosses up in Wiscon-stein are happy with themselves, they killed my peach. (metaphorically) . We've been kicked to the curb a few times....thats the risk we take . Bottom line : We're very passionate about radio . As long as you have the passion for radio ...someone will take notice...and eventually you will be hired . Its happened to me twice in 20 yrs . I'm thankful to be involved in radio after all these years...Its been tough ...but life is kinda tough right ?...Its how you handle the situation. Dan Duffy |

When I would show up, James would be there ,and unbelievably,only seeing me once a year, would recognize me, welcome me, commit to some small talk, etc... this always impressed me and made me think that he was a consumate pro at his job.On the show he was as glib as the best when he went on air...I thought he should be a full time radio guy....not to be ,at Journal... good luck James,, land on your feet..... kelly weaver griswold iowa |
