Greetings. I'm Fiz. New to the group. I've listened to the show since 2000. Just never joined the group. But here I am.

I just had one question and I wasn't sure where to post it. I didn't want to start a new thread just for this issue, so here goes.

When the show was local, Craig's mom's "lover" would address his jokes as pertaining to Craig's mom. But when the show went syndicated, he changed it to "your mom", because Craig's mother lives in Springfield and might hear. But in the last month, he's been going back to the Craig's mom reference again.

What has happened for this change? Does Craig know for a fact that his parents never listen? Does Craig not care anymore?

I know that both T&T have joked about Craig walking out of the studio after that reference. But they never explain. It's like an in-joke they are spilling out over the air.

Does anyone know the poop on this?

Okay. I e-mailed Big Pussy and here is his answer:

"In the beginning of the Empire, they originally made it 'Your Mom' since Craig’s mom could hear the show, but yeah, in the last little bit, it’s come back to Craig’s mom because we’re pretty sure even though she CAN listen, she doesn’t. No harm, no foul."
